We just saw the movie The Adjustment Bureau.  It’s thoroughly dumb.  I don’t really want to get into why, other than everything about it was just convenient and fudgey.  It had some enjoyable elements, I suppose, and we didn’t expect all that much.

The most disappointing part was that it was essentially a nice romance movie with Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, who of course are both great, but this cheesy, vague Inception rip-off just kept butting in and blowing up its spot the whole time.  It really was like two movies at once, in a bad way.  And come on, what’s so great about a plot that, by design, limits the involvement of Emily Blunt?
